Organized Northern America regional operation and formed sales and marketing
team for Joohong, Korean broadband CPE solution provider. Developed
international businesses for Korean IT industry and government sponsored
projects including technology co-development and products promotion support.

CEO, HyComm, Incorporated., California

Established Hyper-media Communications, Incorporated. The company designs
and consults multimedia networking solutions such as, Video-on-Demand, Video
Conferencing, Digital Broadcasting over telephony, LAN, WAN, internet and the
next generation internet. To secure the Quality-of-Service (QoS) on the
multimedia communication environment, also provide real-time system
solutions.
Developed an intelligent internet agent to analyze, categorize and block
information on internet.
The company provided those solutions in Korea and South-eastern Asia.
Designed and installed a large video-on-demand system in Korea Race
Association (KRA), Korea National Film Agency (KTV) and Information
Super-highway Museum.
Participated in Next Generation Internet Server (NGIS) project with ETRI and
other partner companies.

Director of Engineering & CTO, Jinnes Technologies, Inc., California

Developed a compiler and telecommunication software on a real-time system.
Developed and integrated multimedia networking systems include streaming
video and video conferencing servers. Those systems are integrated with
multimedia storage servers, network adapters, switching hubs, bridges and
several network terminal equipments.

Senior Engineer, MasPar Computer Corp., California.

Designed and developed Massively Parallel Language (MPL), which is a C stile
parallel language for MasPar MP series.  Also developed an assembler (MPAS)
and linker (MPLD), which are targeted to MasPar Object File Format(MOFF) for
a massively parallel processing architecture.

Engineer, Electronics & Telecommunications Research Institute, Korea

Designed and developed a proprietary micro processor which is called
High-performance Architecture for RISC Processor (HARP).
Developed 64 bit micro-processor, M640, as a member of joint development
team with American Information Technologies, Inc.(AIT). Major roles are
developing C & Pascal compiler and instruction simulator.
Designed and implemented an assembler and a stand-alone monitor program
for 32 bit super-micro computer. The system remodeled by Samsung Electronics
and named SSM-32 later.
Developed a UNIX based multilingual message handling system.

As COO and Senior VP of Marketing of Joohong America, Hong organized the
Northern America regional operation and formed the sales and marketing team
for Joohong, a Korean broadband solution provider. He also developed
international businesses for Korean IT industry and government sponsored
projects including technology co-development and Korean products promotion.

Active in Korean-American development programs. From 1998 through 2000 he
served as Vice Chair of editor committee for Korean Information Processing
Society Journal.  As a consultant for the Korean government sponsored San
Jose iPARK project, planned and established an international co-operation
center for Information and Telecommunication.
